What is an aluminium enclosure?

An aluminium housing is an enclosure that protects sensitive electronic or mechanical components from external influences such as moisture, dust, chemical substances and / or mechanical stress.

These enclosures can therefore be used in a wide range of applications and industries.

What materials are aluminium enclosures made of?

The name already suggests it: Aluminium housings are made from an aluminium alloy.

The aluminium alloy of BERNSTEIN CA enclosures consists of silicon, iron, copper and manganese as well as small amounts of zinc and titanium. This composition gives the enclosure material different, specific properties.

Properties of aluminium housings

Aluminium housings are characterised by a number of positive properties. These can vary depending on the material properties.

    Thanks to the copper content, the strength of the enclosures is increased. This provides reliable protection against mechanical impact

    Our aluminium terminal housings dissipate heat efficiently

BERNSTEIN offers a wide range of different aluminium housings. These are manufactured using the die-casting process and powder-coated in RAL 7001 as standard in our in-house powder-coating facility. On request, we can also customise the enclosures according to your requirements.
